CU and recruiting.

After Stanford went off the rails - I participated sorry.
I decided to look at some more numbers. Currently we are about 7th in ranking in the PAC and 3rd in average per recruit. We need to be able to also get to 20 recruits while maintaining a 3.2 or better star rating to be where I’d like to see us. 3.38 is great but we need 20 hs recruits and like most of life it’s not either or. You must have both

Right now we are in rivals ranking roughly
13th SEC
12th ACC
11th BIG X (12)
6th pac 12
7th Big XII (10)

Average star ranking we are roughly
9th SEC
9th BIG X
3rd pac 12
3rd ACC
4th BIG XII

Really interested to see how we end up. Also just how far ahead the BIg 2 are and how much further they are about to come without some changes.

Hard for me not to root for UH after this

It’s pretty contagious the energy they all have for the school and opportunity. I continue to stay in the minority and much prefer the BIG XII and it’s football culture over the PAC and elitist, football is an annoyance, culture.

Hope they do well moving up. It’s good for the sport to have these teams moving up and generating more excitement

JW: Where are you in the talks for the new media rights deal?

A: Apple TV+ remains comfortable that we remain the strongest option for all of the Pac-12 rights. We have spent a great deal of time working speaking not only to the conference but to possible partners as well.

How Deion Sanders has changed Colorado's geographic recruiting footprint

I dug into the numbers to see where Deion Sanders has gotten recruits from so far and how that differs from the program's recent history

Long story short: less California and Texas and a lot more Florida and Georgia

OT: Alabama home games from 1902 to 2003

Everyone knows I am a geek and hate P5 vs D1AA games. I am updating the record of P5 vs D1AA for my own interest, but that is not really what this post is about. It was just while doing so, I noticed something interesting to me (maybe some others might find it interesting) about Alabama. From 1902 to 2003, Alabama had 595 home games of those they played:

313 in Tuscaloosa

237 in Birmingham (this does not count the games against Auburn when it was an Auburn home game)

23 in Montgomery

22 in Mobile

47% scheduled home game outside of your home stadium seems a lot. In the early 2000 Alabama fans must have said enough is enough. I thought that maybe it was just that Legion Field was so much larger than Bryant-Denny Stadium, but checking both had relative similar capacities thru their history.
