PAC 12 Dead

Setting aside the laundry list of mistakes made by leadership, how much of a factor do you think it was that so many of the teams were in major/pro markets like LA, SF, Seattle, Denver/Boulder which might be less passionate about college sports v. the Big 12 and SEC teams which are located, for the most part, in nonmajor/nonpro towns? I have not done a deep dive into this but listening to sports talk this morning got me thinking this may have been a problem with the league’s sustainability

The benefits of having a single broadcast partner - the SEC

For the most part they announced windows (MT):
Morning - 10:00 AM Kickoff
Afternoon - 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM Kickoff
Night - 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM Kickoff

There still are 28 games listed under "Flex". 55 have the exact network. 11 are down to two networks.

91 of 119 have an exact game time or a general game time.

Again it helps that ABC/ESPN have the single deal and the conference network is partly owned by the national TV partner.

How CU athletes did at the NCAA T&F Championships

I landed on the Day 2 of the women's today

No men made the finals in an event. Kole Mathison competed in the 3000 Meter Steeplechase, but finished 8th in his prelim.

Women:
400 M Hurdles: 8. Abbey Glynn

5000 Meters Final: 3. Bailey Hertenstein, 7. Ella Baran

Heptathlon Long Jump: 8. Avery McMullen
Heptathlon Javelin Final: 11. Avery McMullen
Heptathlon 800 Meters Final: 15. Avery McMullen

Events CU athletes competed in, but did not make the finals
4x400 Meter Relay - 9th in prelim
Joy Moorer
Emma Pollak
Avery McMullen
Abbey Glynn

Two impressive things I saw today: Arkansas women's 400 meter runners are so strong. 1-4 in the individual 400 meter and won by just under 6 seconds in the 4X400. Also Parker Valby from Florida won the NCAA 10K a couple days ago and won the 3000 K today by over 8 seconds
