Official game thread: Colorado vs Baylor

First game back in the Bug 12 for the Buffs tonight against Baylor. Looks like the rain will stay away for at least a half, but may start a little later.

Buffs will be without Chidozie Nwankwo (shoulder) and Dallan Hayden (ankle) once again.

Nothing official on Baylor's quarterback situation yet, but both Dequan Finn and Sawyer Robertson were warming up.

Illinois at Nebraska game thread

Started this as a game discussion thread, but also post some talk about how the fake sellout streak might be taking away the will to do some renovation to the stadium

Sam McKewon on the sellout streak:"I'm probably a little less romantic as others are. At this point, I think it's a streak that might almost be keeping Nebraska back from some innovation. So long as you can say, 'well, we're selling out the stadium because these three wealthy people keep buying tickets that people don't actually want,' we're not going to transform the stadium.

For me, it's about transforming the stadium. Get a new video board in the North Stadium...it's not functional anymore. Get a video board in the South Stadium. Improve the experience for the fans who are showing up. And sometimes I think that sellout streak can almost work against you...

At some point you're going to run up against, unless Rhule wins big and he may well do that, you're going to run up against a fanbase who's going to be like "as much as I love it, I'm going to come once or twice a year and not get season tickets because the experience at home is so good and the experience at the stadium is not as good.'...

My thoughts on the streak is it's valuable, it has historic value, there is a romanticism to it, and it speaks well to Husker fans. I just want to make sure it doesn't prevent the kind of innovation that is really helpful for fans enjoying those experiences."

MBB commitment: CU beats out CSU for Texas wing Ian Inman

Colorado has added a commitment from 2025 Texas wing Ian Inman this morning. The 6-foot-5 prospect from College Park High School in The Woodlands visited Colorado and Colorado State within the last week and narrowed his choices to those two programs before announcing his decision Wednesday. Louisville and West Virginia had been set to host him on visits later this month. Rice hosted him on an official visit earlier in the month and those are the five schools that made up his top five. Texas Tech had also been involved earlier in the process as well.

Inman is a scoring wing with good size for the position and should give the Buffs a nice piece on the perimeter to add to what is likely to be a pretty big 2025 recruiting class. He joins point guard Isaiah Johnson as the second member of the group.

Visitor list: Week 4 vs. Baylor

Here's a look at this week's visitors as the Buffs host Baylor to open Big 12 play. Colorado will host two official visitors and both are committed elsewhere currently. Deion Sanders and his staff have been active in offering committed prospects in recent weeks. I'll add to this list as names come through.

PAC 2 - Go Cougs

I’m excited for the P6 and really hope they find the right mix of teams to get 10-12 members.

This year though it’s hard not to be a Cougs fan. OSU will bowl but if you look at WSU schedule they have a real shot at making noise for the CFP.

They look strong so far and on their schedule left it only looks like Boise St is a real threat to beat them. It’s hard to go undefeated no matter who you are but they have a shot.

At 12-0 it would be hard for the CFP to keep them out though they could. Just ask FSU. Even if they don’t make it in and finish 11-1 or 10-2 it’s a great story considering how hard they got hit with realignment.

Rooting hard for the cougs this year and looking forward to a fun conference when the PAC is rebuilt. Maybe we get lucky and this ACC thing happens so both the B12 and PAC benefit
