Happy to be watching college football coverage again

Watching ESPN U this morning waiting for College Game Day. Dusty Dovorchek talked about this on the radio this week and again this morning picked Deion to beat TCU. I have heard one other on the radio also pick Deion in an upset. It is funny how its Deion not CU when they talk about us, but Ill take the upset predictions. Maybe these guys will be right and we get off to a great start. I expect TCU to cover, but if we win against TCU I would go into Nebraska feeling extremely confident.

DirectTV and Fox

They are currently in a contract dispute. Often these are settled disagreements between providers and networks that carry the NFL are solved before the NFL season starts. We will see what happens. This does not affect me as I have comcast, I did not even know this was happening until I found that Fox was not showing up in my hotel room last week.

Veteran coach Sal Sunseri is helping bring Colorado's defensive line along

CU's defensive tackles coach offered up some insight on his position group today. Nikki wrote a separate piece on him today, but throughout camp, we've been hearing Shane Cokes' name A LOT

From the NS: D Edwards and a loaded offensive backfield...

And as an aside, one reason I love watching content from the Sanders machine is one receives small pearls of wisdom that for me are a blessing right now. “You can’t think about (the past). That’s when your blessings go down. I’m just happy where I’m at and where my feet are.”

Ain't that the truth...

Colorado High School Football on 8/24 to 8/26

Reminder the base of this schedule is from Max Prep, I attempted to verify on the schools websites but only about 60% have their schedule on their sites, so if there is a game you want to see I would call the home team schools to verify. The second team listed is considered the home team even if playing in a neutral field.

Love the way Yormark is playing this

He understands what’s happening and that he needs to keep the BIG XII interesting for his teams to have a chance at being a part of the bigger picture.

Smart move to get those staying to feel camaraderie and go after UT and OU. The magic of the BIg X and SEC that no others conference had ever managed is the way those schools root for their conference as much as their own brand.

Three Days to go

THe first weekend is really awful but its college ball. We do have two good contests or at least interesting contests to watch.

Edit - I forgot somehow about ND and Navy. Probably not a great game but still fun and its a game I would love to be at - happily rooting for Navy to crush the spirit of the Irish.

Week 1 if you look at it besides us there are a couple good ones:

UF vs UU. This should be Utah's game but with Rising still recovering gotta think Florida is feeling good. Who does everyone have? I am going Utah by a touchdown.

Nebraska vs Minnesota - This one should be a good game. Both coaches can coach and both teams should be improved. Have to go with Minnesota here in a tight one. Ill say by 7. Rhule is going to do good things at Nebraska but not overnight.

FSU vs LSU - the game I am most excited to see the start of the season. Even above ours. This game is a clash of two teams that will be in the mix, will be played at 5:30 our time, will have the best crew and production and is big time college ball.

The rest of the field week 0 is pretty much unwatchable. It gets us warmed up though for when the season actually starts the week after. I am ready for the focus to shift to the play on the field from the rest of this junk.

OC Sean Lewis, Colorado offense putting together final touches for TCU

OC Sean Lewis' offense is looking solid throughout, but there remains some questions with the offensive line and the tight ends as TCU approaches.

More on how Lewis is approaching this week and game prep for TCU:
