ASU

Was trying to figure out what happened this weekend after watching a decent ASU team the week before. Not only is their stud QB hurt but they are down to their 4th string QB and the starter is out 4-6 weeks.

This was a game I had as a toss up, especially on the road, but now it feels like win 4 with an awful team in Stanford the week after.
Injuries hurt us all but this is an injury that may work in our favor

Over / Under Week 3 Results

Winner this week for his second win was Mrmcbeath45. He was the only one with 8 correct picks.

"I sat down with ESPN today," Norvell said. "I don't care if they hear it in Boulder. I told them, I took my hat off and I took my glasses off. I said when I talk to grown ups, I take my hat off and my glasses off. That's what my mother taught me. (Colorado's) not going to like us no matter what we say or do."

Shots fired.

Colorado offers Michigan State WR commit Nick Marsh

With the news of Mel Tucker's termination process at Michigan State today, schools have wasted no time turning up the heat with their current commits. Colorado has jumped in this evening with an offer to one of its top recruits. Four-star receiver Nicholas Marsh has added CU to his lengthy offer list as the Buffs make a play for the 6-foot-3 prospect from River Rogue, Michigan. Marsh is currently rated No. 123 overall and is the No. 4-ranked prospect in Michigan for the 2024 class.

He's currently still committed to the Spartans but has already decommitted from MSU once before earlier in his recruitment. If the staff East Lansing is dismantled, Marsh could very well be in position to look for a new home. So, it is certainly not a bad move for the Buffs to get ahead of things by offering him now and striking while the iron is hot at CU.

Below are some of his senior season highlights.

Texas-based cornerback and Rivals No. 86 recruit Corian Gipson has been committed to Clemson since July, but a handful of schools have not stopped recruiting him. CU is among that group, and he has been intrigued by what is taking place in Boulder this season. He remains locked in with his pledge to the Tigers, but Colorado and others are still in the mix.

Tony Kornheiser is all in on Prime and CU

Today on the podcast he had on Chuck Culpepper who writes about College Football for the Wash Post. He in the past few weeks had on Pat Forde and has on Wilbon. And the topic with those two were also CU. Today this guy who rights bumper music songs for the podcast about topics they speak about, today did one about Shedeur. Culpepper could not stop saying how impressed he is about Shedeur.

You can get the podcast at most podcast places. The CU talk today starts at about 18:40.

OT: steamboat

Brought my mom up for a few days as a get away. Get up here a lot and enjoy good food and wine. Want to take her to a nice dinner tonight.
Any recommendations on good place with more farm to table or clean type food I might not have been to? Good wine list?

Thanks guys. FWIW she thinks I’m nuts on my take on TH play. Did you put her up to this @OhioBuffs ? She is questioning my allegiances. 😂😂

Random Thoughts: CU 43 - CSU 35

Short night. Frustrating yet exciting game. Takes:

Michael Harrison - What a find. Kudos to the staff for approaching him to solve the TE issue. The young man has hands, smarts, and desire. Wearing that number 87 out there reminds me of Ed McCaffrey with his body type. A TE making a big difference in a game for the Buffs; a rare thing in recent years when once the Buffs touted their TEs.

Shedeur - Took over the game in the 4th and through both overtimes. Yes, he is not fleet of foot like the Caleb Williams types, but he is tough and stands in there when it counts. The 98 yard drive at the end is the stuff of legend. His throws in the face of Rams‘ onslaughts were pretty incredible a number of times. Once again, at the end, great percentage throwing numbers.

Travis - Really, really unfortunate. We need him most at corner, and he goes down with injury as a wide receiver. The early kinda crazy Heisman talk is over. Can’t win that trophy when not playing games. Of course we all hope he is ultimately OK.

Center position - How much did a freshman in there effect the blocking? The OL is questionable enough as it is.

CSU - Don’t know how much it came from the coaches, or just a player atttide, but it was clear that they wanted to physically intimate the Buffs and make CU’s stars pay the price. Mixed up in this were several very cheap shots by a several cheap-shot artists. In the first half, this was working for them, along with their plan to relentlessly get the ball to a couple WRs. The targeting hit on Shedeur in OT was shameful...and dangerous.

The “big” package - Didn’t work...twice. Should have called plays like the ones eventually called in overtime. Don’t know what the heck that was all about, but big fail for Coach Lewis in crunch times.

So glad the Buffs won, or the negativity and “told you so’s” from various quarters would have been insufferable.

2025 ATH Adrian Walker talks CU offer, Rocky Mountain Showdown visit

Two-way 2025 athlete Adrian Walker added an offer from Colorado over the weekend on his visit with the Buffs. The receiver and cornerback is teammates with 5-star quarterback Bryce Underwood, so the duo made the trek to Boulder from Michigan together over the weekend. The trip did not disappoint Walker, and now he has an offer from the Buffs to add to his growing list. LSU offered him earlier in the week but CU certainly left a strong impression and should remain a player as he starts to gain some traction on the recruiting trail.

"It meant a lot getting the offer, because it means the coaching staff as a whole believes in me. My thought on the Buffs is definitely a big option, and definitely will be a big option going on from now."

*** Weekend visitor list: CU vs. CSU ***

Here is the list of expected visitors as it stands right now for the Buffs heading into Saturday. There is still time that some may be added or removed, but as of today this is the group of prospects the staff is expecting to have on campus. The list is impressive and features multiple recruits committed to other programs. It is also a nice collection of talent from different classes.
