Well it's the last week. Another year older and deeper in doldrums. Maybe we'll win this game!? Eh - Maybe not.

Since this is the last week and there are several players that could take it we need to be able to break ties in the standings - Therefore we have a 3rd tiebreaker - that one is specifically used to break the tie in the standings - the first two just break the tie for the week. Potential QB matchup tomorrow: Ryan Staub vs. Senior Walk-On QB Luke Bottari

Utah's QB1 Bryson Barnes is either hurt or sick heading into Saturday's matchup with the Buffs. Shedeur Sanders is questionable and has appeared to be inactive this week from a Well Off video.

Nate Johnson (this season 499 yards and 54.2 completion percentage, 3 TDs) has entered the portal according to Josh Newman of KSL.com, leaving Luke Bottari as the likely starter. Bottari has never taken a single FBS snap. Hasn’t played in a game in two years.

Recruiting Bright Spot

Defensively we are recruiting well. I’d like to see 2-3 LB in there but the guy who unsuccessfully is running our LB room is a Samders groupie and has already said he is going to use the portal (and fail).

You can’t argue though that they know just how bad our DL is and are addressing it.

We must recruit 20 HS kids to be successful long term so I’m not going to bother with TP discussions. They are a waste of time.

With 11 spots left minimum for HS in a class built for a rebuild :

2 Lb
1 DT
5 OL

Would make me happy

RB/ WR and DB are a dime a dozen in the TP. So no need to take more HS kids this cycle at those positions

OT: the Denver Outlaws Lacrosse is returning

On December 16, 2020, the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) announced a merger with Major League Lacrosse (the Outllaws were in that League) The move created a unified outdoor lacrosse league that kept the PLL name and eliminated all home market teams. This left six MLL franchises, including Denver, on the outside. The league retained the rights to the now-retired team identities with the option to use these brands in future expansion. On November 14, 2023 as the PLL announced home cities for each team, it was announced that Chrome Lacrosse Club would be rebranding into the Denver Outlaws.

They will play at DU.
