Buff basketball portal targets

This is the best article I've found on the portal players Tad Boyle is pursuing. If anyone on this board knows of other targets, or if our board mods have additional information, it would be helpful. One reason it's important to have this information known is that better information with names and faces on who CU is pursuing encourages NIL donations.

JR's gonna be busy!

Three more of the freshmen girls from the 2023 class, have just entered the portal, leaving only one, (a point guard who was recovering from an injury/surgery), from a recruiting class of 5. Assuming this is primarily by design, after meeting with the girls, and the coaches having watched these girls in practice, and some very limited game minutes, for a couple of them, for a year. They now will have 6 open scholarships, unless Tameiya Sadler decides to return for one more year, after going through the farewell ceremony, with Jaylyn, Quay, Maddie Nolan, and Charlotte Whittaker. (She does have a potential additional year of eligibility left.) Quite a few spots to fill now, and there lots of very good players in the women's portal available, (several from PAC 12 teams, that the coaches would be very familiar with), and NIL wouldn't be near the big deal it is, for the men. Will be interesting to see who JR can bring into the program, and what the rotation is going to look like next year. Would be great to see a little more size, athleticism, and overall skill, brought in via the portal. She's been very good with attracting quality transfers, to fill specific needs, the past several years, and with 5-6 spots available, she could really do some damage in the portal, to re-make the team, after losing so many starters and rotation players.

Game Thread: Colorado WBB vs Iowa

Buffs get a rematch of last year's Sweet 16 today against top-seed Iowa and Caitlin Clark, the all-time leading scorer in college hoops, down in Albany. Would be Colorado's first Elite 8 since 2002 if they're able to pull it off, Iowa looking to get back to the National Championship game after losing there last year. Iowa won last year's meeting 87-77 in a game that CU led by one at the half and struggled with foul trouble throughout. Winner will take on LSU on Monday, who just knocked out UCLA in a great ballgame. Tip in about 30, I'll have starters in a few.
