Games today

Pretty weak schedule outside the SEC

ND continued to face mighty foes and handle them with ease. All over UVA

NU and USC in a battle

LSU looking very beatable again but coming back

USC and Mizzou playing a tough but fun game

Games that interest me

UGA and UT tonight
ASU vs KSU - ASU is pretty good
KU vs BYU - not sure what to make of this but KU finally pretty healthy. Maybe the give them a scare
UO vs Wiscy - UO is the best team in the country most days and I like greatness. Can Wiscy sneak up n them. Seems doubtful
But who knows

CFP poll teams round up 11.16.24

I am not posting this in regards to CU and an at large spot, because I think they need to win the Big 12 title to get in. I just thought people might find it interesting.

CONFESSION 😎

Happy Friday Night Fellas :

I have been away from the board for a few weeks due to a very ill 95 year old Mother. Guys, be careful with your parents as they age.

I moved my mom into my house about a year after my Dad passed away roughly 15 years ago. I have never been married ( engaged three times ), no children. I saw her just about every day after work and the gym as we lived only 15 minutes from each other. Losing my Dad was hard on her despite having a strong social network. At the time, I just figured if Mrs. Right came along, we'd have to figure it out. Besides, both my parents did so much for my brothers and I, why not give back to a lady that did so much for me. And, I was in a spot where I could do it.

Yeah, you guys know me pretty well. If anyone can make a short story long, it is me. Anyway, mom had some nausea and mild flu like symptoms roughly a month ago. When that passed, I thought it was over. I didn't insist on checking for a UTI until two weeks later. Mom likely had an untreated UTI for up to 3 weeks before it was confirmed and antibiotics were provided. It took her down hard. There is still a ways to go, but maybe some light at the end of the tunnel.

I am posting this so those of you who might have thought I was hiding due to the Buffs Profound success, pretty good line play ( both sides of the ball ), and the "fact" ( really my opinion ) that they are improving as the year goes forward. Yeah, I griped a lot early in the year, but I am HAPPY TO BE WRONG about this teams grit, toughness, and very good coaching.. I have enjoyed watching this team win more than their share of battles in the trenches. QBSS still holds the ball too long, but he is one tough QB and accurate as hell.

If you don't see me posting much, it's not because I fear some well deserved, "...told ya so..."!

Lord, I hope I didn't jinx the Buffs for tomorrows game. Now, on to the Conference Championship game. Job well done by the entire Buff Staff, so far.

Where we are...

This stuff is just blowing me away. CU. Prime. Hunter. Shedeur. The D. Livingston. And Sapp. And Big Noon. And 49-24. And Klatt and Kordell and Peggy and the whole friggn thing.

Step back and think where we were after the Nebraska game. And now, this. This.

Friends have been texting me. Ohio State alums. Penn State. Indiana and Clemson. Local high school football coaches. Like me, they're also blown away. Want to visit Boulder. Feeling the heat of the moment.

And that crew of high school kids, visiting the mountains. The IMG players. There, landing at the perfect moment in the middle of this paradise.

Who would have thought? Think of where we were as the second season droned on with Sleepy Karl, the Saturdays of pain. A lot of us were giving up. The culmination of two decades of irrelevance.

And now, we're the magic of college football. Eye candy from New Jersey to Texas to Wisconsin to Florida. Heisman and first round draft picks. The buzz of college football. Really, the only buzz.

Hold your breath. Kansas and Oklahoma State, ancient Big-8 rivals, await. Reduce the offensive misplays, dominate the D, and the gifts will come.

Game thread: Utah at Colorado

Buffs looking to get to 8-2 today with a win over Utah, who CU hasn't beaten since 2016. Utah without two top offensive weapons, TE Brant Kuithe and WR Money Parks, as well as QBs Brandon Rose and Cam Rising.

Isaac Wilson is here and warming up despite rumors that he was sick with mono, he and Luke Bottari are the available QBs. No word on a starter as of now.

No Micah Welch again for CU as well.

2025 CU DB target Byron Baldwin recommits to Indiana

Colorado made its push for Byron Baldwin earlier in the fall and had him out for a visit, but he's going to stick with Indiana after all despite backing off that pledge when the Buffs entered the picture.

The four-star from Baltimore announced his recommitment to the Hoosiers tonight.

"Once I got on campus at Colorado, I had to take another visit to Indiana," Baldwin explained. "I (wanted to connect) with the (IU) commits. While I was committed, I was recruiting for our class, so to be able to talk to them, to rekindle with them again through the phone before I came for my (fall) visit, it was just like, 'Dang, this is like family.' Then to go on the visit, and still feel the exact (same way) I did when I came for my official visit and (first) unofficial visit, I knew (this is where I wanted to be)."
