Sounds like the Buffs have added a new 2023 commitment. If there's someone to keep a close watch on here it is recent official visitor Victory Johnson. If you remember from my update with him, he raved about his experience on the visit and has a strong relationship with the current coaches. A lot of schools that had been in the picture earlier filled up their spots and/or had coaching changes. He really likes CU for CU, and that has helped put the Buffs in a strong position. I'd expect something to be announced soon-ish with the latest pick up for the Buffs.

Word is he committed to CU today.

Bowl eligible. Nice to see them finally not so bad. I’m interested to see what happens this off season for them.

In his final month of college football, Daniel Arias is working to collect quality tape for NFL scouts and some of those highlights came from his performance on special teams last weekend.

“He’ll play some receiver, a lot more receiver, but his contribution to special teams is very significant and we need him in that area of the game,” assistant WR coach Brandon Gibson said.

Only one quarter and I expect OSU to win by 2-3 scores but it’s been fun to watch this new QB that NW has. Guy makes good decisions and is pretty quick. Kudos to them for leading after 1 against what appears to be a top 3-4 team in the nation.

I went out to watch Colorado commit Brady Nassar last week at his second-to-last regular season game. His team came out on the short end of a 27-7 loss, but the future Buffs edge rusher played well. He was super disruptive and made plays on both sides of the ball. I spoke with him about all the coaching changes in Boulder this season, and he still remains locked in with the program at this stage. He understands that more changes are likely to come but he likes so much about the school, the city and the program that he is not overly concerned at this stage. About the only thing he is concerned about right now is whether or not he will like the new staff that steps in. He has built his connection with Gerald Chatman and would like to play for him, but he also is not opposed to playing for someone else as long as he can get along with whoever that is. He says Cal, Oregon State and Washington State are still pursuing him, among others, but he has not entertained that those conversations.

"You're always worried about it because it's a business at the end of the day. You don't want to get left out because you made the wrong decision. But, I really like Colorado. I think it's a great spot. With my other options, I just don't see any other team that's jumping ahead of them so far that Colorado can't keep up. So, to me, it's like why go somewhere else when you think you can change Colorado into a place where they win? That would be wonderful."

Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei is the top high school team in the country and one of its most productive players this season has been receiver Jordan Onovughe. He went a bit under the radar early in the year but has gained attention this fall. He visited Stanford on an official trip back in September around the time CU decided to offer. Now he’ll take an official visit to Colorado this weekend with Mater Dei on a bye week. It’ll give him a chance to spend the full weekend in Boulder instead of just Saturday and the first part of Sunday. That’s a bonus for the Buffs.

Utah, Colorado State, UNLV and Fordham are his other offers.
