Just for fun .. way too early top 25

Nice showing by the PAC in here with 5 in the top 20 and 4 in the top 13. I hope this top 4 is correct as it would be a lot of fun and finally my Seminoles would be at least cloer to back to being the dominant team they were for 2 decades plus. Looking at TCU they lose some but man did they add too. Signal caller looks solid but Dykes says could add another through the portal before its said and done. I can not wait for the 12 team playoff to start if only becuase of the great end of year matchups it would offer. Now all we have to do is fix the OOC schedules and have it so the current P5 type teams are encouraged to play one big game each against a major opponent - preferably in a bowl type atmosphere during the first three weeks the way basketball does.
I dont like NIL but I just can not argue that college football at its highest level isnt a heck of a lot of fun.

Conversation Today With Georgia Donor Fan

I’m in Vegas and ran into an avid Bulldog fan. He told me he is a big donor to Georgia football and is optimistic about winning many national championships under Coach Smart. Of much interest was how Kirby Smart recruits. He said that Smart has a helicopter at his disposal and flys direct to a prospect’s high school to meet in person with this stud. The sensation of having the Bulldog head coach arrive at his school or football field sends a message to the recruit of where he needs to play football. There are always other students and high school coaches around when he lands and it is a major event at the school!

Is the PAC in its last year going to be force?

Yes - I said last year as once the LA schools are gone we begin the fall from the highest level of ball.
However, look at what’s happening at QB - USC, UW, OU, UU and OSU all have very good college QB and UU, USC and OU all have NFL guys at the helm.
I think we upgraded and might have a good one but I think it’s a year of adjustment. Still we might pull off an upset or two.
The rest of the league isn’t shabby either.

Does the PAC finally look like a P5 conference top to bottom and show up postseason. We started working out way there this year but fell flat down the stretch. Could 2023 be our year?

I’m actually optimistic we make real national noise as a conference finally.

Deion Sanders joins College GameDay before the national title game

Some highlights from Deion Sanders' appearance on GameDay in advance of Monday's national championship game. FWIW, I don't think the Buffs are trying to back out of the TCU game. I'd guess they're going to try to add a Week Zero game

Tristan da Silva has been named the Pac-12 Player of the Week after the Buffs' wins over Oregon State and Oregon. da Silva averaged 23.5 points on 67 percent shooting (18-27), 6.0 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.0 assists to lead Colorado in the two victories. It marks the second consecutive week a CU player has earned the honor after KJ Simpson was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week last week. Simpson also won the award in the first week of the season.

Here's a list of the other players nominated this week: Ąžuolas Tubelis (Arizona) Warren Washington (Arizona State) DeJuan Clayton (California) Jaylen Clark (UCLA) Branden Carlson (Utah), Mouhamed Gueye, (Washington State)

2024 QB Danny O'Neil talks Colorado offer, recruitment

Danny O'Neil has built a solid relationship with Sean Lewis already and he's looking to get out to Boulder for a visit with the Buffs now on his offer list. He will be one to watch as he hopes to make an early decision. Kentucky has gained a lot of the early buzz with the 2024 prospect while he also holds offers from Louisville, Illinois, Cincinnati, Wake Forest, Houston and others.

Clint Cosgrove spoke with O'Neil at the National Underclassmen Combine in Texas over the weekend to find out the latest with his recruitment and how CU factors into the picture at this stage.

"Coach Lewis was telling me that they have some high goals there. They know they can now because they have coach Prime, they have all of the hype, they're going to kind of just ride this wave. Hopefully it takes them to the College Football Playoffs in year or two."

Rising returning

I’m torn on this as I think USC under Riley year two is going to be powerful, but with Rising returning does Utah have a shot at a 4 team playoff? Man they built it the right way and then plugged the TP in. Never thought I’d say this but if we could run our program like Utah with the long game in mind I’d be pumped. Hats off to KW. Now let’s beat the crap out of them each time we play please.
