Gotta be honest, this is a new name for me. He just entered the transfer portal a few days ago so probably had an idea of where he wanted to go, but Ole Miss sophomore cornerback Kyndrich Breedlove is headed to Colorado as the latest transfer commitment. Still trying to figure out more about his situation but he's played in 10 games over two seasons. However, he only played in one game in 2022 and that was on special teams. He was a four-star prospect coming out of high school, though.

He'll have three years to play two seasons with the Buffs.

Boom!

Talking to a source directly related to the Colorado staff, five-star 2023 CB Cormani McClain was on campus this weekend and CU now feels good with their chances of landing him. Speaking with McClain at the UA Next practices, his intent then was to sign with Miami as planned. An announcement was planned for today, I am not sure if that is still happening.

Defensively, UCLA allows a league-low 60.1 points per game. Buffs are averaging 74.1 ppg (third in the P12) while UCLA is averaging 77.2 ppg (second in the P12)

Buffs getting some excellent publicity with the prime time bball game v UCLA on Fox. Coach Prime got into the act!

Ducks boat raced the Cats 87-68 in Eugene. Zona has lost 2 of last 3 in Conference. Good players lacking real toughness.

Frida Formann found her rhythm once again Friday night, posting back-to-back game-highs in points to help the Colorado women's basketball team to back-to-back upsets against ranked opponents.

• REALIGNMENT: Colorado AD Rick George spoke in a wide-ranging interview on “Canzano & Wilner: The Podcast” this week. The interview is worth your time. He had some strong comments on realignment and the unity of the 10 remaining members of the conference.

On whether Colorado ever spoke with the Big 12:

“The Four Corners have not talked to the Big 12 — at least this corner hasn’t. In our room, and I talk about our AD room, I think there’s a lot of commonality amongst the ADs in the room. We’re confident with the right media deal that we become a very attractive conference.”

On how expansion of the College Football Playoff factors in realignment thinking:

“Why would you want to be in a conference where there’s 16 to 18, when you can be in a conference that is 10 to 12? Your opportunity, particularly when the top six-rated conferences have automatic bids and the top-four have automatic byes, why would you leave?”
