Coach MacIntyre and his staff have reeled in a very solid prospect with the commitment of the San Jose native Jones, who projects as a weak-side OLB in the Buffs 4-3 system. Jones has borderline elite closing speed, as he consistently brings down quarterbacks and runners from a variety of angles. Additionally, Jones plays with excellent leverage, not letting blockers get their hands on him cleanly. At the collegiate level, he will have to work on his vision and reads in pass coverage, as well as his upper body strength in order to improve shedding blocks when he is engaged. Despite the somewhat underwhelming offer sheet, Jones is a very solid commit and should grow in to a 3 down player at the next level.
