The Heat at Kick off . ..

. . . while I was watching from the cozy confines from the BuffaLaw basement man-lair, my sister (who lives in Phoenix) was at the game. She's lived in Phoenix for 30 + years and said the heat in the first half was unbearable if you were in the sun. A little better in the shade.

Yeah, we started slow but and both teams had to play in it, but she said it was absolutely miserable just sitting in the stands. With a helmet and pads? Not making excuses but maybe that win was a little more impressive than we thought given the conditions. And let's give a huge shout out to CU's S&C crew - I didn't see any cramping out there and word has it that those guys were hydrating like crazy all week.

ASU was (fake) cramping like crazy.

Game breakdown: Buffs come up with a 27-24 win in Tempe

Another slow start ensued Saturday in Tempe, but a more aggressive second-half showing from Colorado eventually gave the Buffs the win, 27-24.
