The Buffs added their third piece of the 2025 recruiting class Friday after 6-foot-4 guard Jalin Holland announced his choice of Colorado over a final group that included Oklahoma and in-state New Mexico. The Los Lunas, New Mexico native took visits to all three of his finalists before coming to a decision. CU hosted him on a visit last weekend.

BYU, Missouri, Arizona State, Cincinnati, Washington, Texas and San Diego State were some of the other schools that offered and pursued at one point or another in the process.

Defense

I keep reading about how improved our D is. I know the numbers are better and we seem to make good adjustments, but I’m not impressed. We still give up huge chunk running plays especially by QBs, fail to consistently get pressure from our pass rush, and last week both McKinney and Hodge were beaten over the top. Thoughts? Do we think we can shut down the run game of UCF and not allow their QB to have a career passing day like we always seem to do?

Next: UCF

Next up may be more of a challenge than the rotten corn.
--UCF is an 11.5 point favorie in early betting;
--ESPN analytics gives UCF an 82.2% chance of beating CU;
--The Knights haven't lost, and their most recent game was beating TCU on the road (they were behind 31-13 and won 35-34);
--Don't look now, but weather forecasts show a tropical depression forming and a possible hurricane hitting Florida late this week.
