We first started hearing flip rumors here about two weeks ago and over the weekend it seemingly took another step forward. Smith flipped from Auburn to USC in the summer so he's long planned on playing his college ball across the country. We know CU has been portal heavy on the OL so prioritizing a high schooler here could be big relative to making an instant impact, something few schools can sell like the Buffs at this time.

Obviously the on-field momentum doesn't hurt, either, but there is a sense this move can go down sooner rather than later, per a Rivals source.

We'll stay on it...

SI article title inferring TH says he "might pull an Elway" is total BS. I think it is clear to most that "pulling an Elway" means refusing to sign with the team that drafts you and leveraging a trade or different draft position. TH never says anything remotely close to that, he only says that he's comfortable here and wishes he could stay in Colorado by playing with the Broncos. Headlines like this by SI are bordering libelous as they have the potential, theoretically, of affecting his draft stock.

Just got word that one of the most productive DTs in the country will soon be on campus in UCF commitment Christian Hudson. He was in Orlando last weekend and obviously saw what the Buffa brought.

Working on details but this will be an official visit, the first elsewhere he has elected to take despite plenty of interest from others.

What year did you graduate with your bachelor's degree? Just curious. I coulda, woulda, mighta graduated 1972 but I never quite got there.

Anyone know his timeline for recovery to perhaps see the field? Had a sports hernia I think. Maybe a RS candidate? Not enough footballs to go round really.

Hello, Colorado fans! I just wanted to quickly introduce myself and share an article. My name is Ryan O'Bleness and I am a part-time national recruiting analyst for Rivals, focusing on the Northeast. I am also the managing editor for Spartans Illustrated, covering Michigan State.

Of note, here is where four-star class of 2025 defensive back Byron Baldwin stands in his recruitment. He remains solidly commtted with Indiana, but I do expect other programs to continue to pursue, especially Colorado.

Of course, Baldwin is coming off of a recent official visit to Colorado.

"My Colorado visit was very exciting," Baldwin said. "While at Colorado, I got to just really embrace the environment. With that being my second visit, we weren’t trying to cram a tour of the campus and the facilities before the game because I’ve been there before. So, it was really just about me feeling everything out, meeting everybody and formally introducing myself to the staff and things like that."

SIAA, but what is the thought process for the "new" RS era? Historically, RS are take to preserve a year of eligibility because you don't want to waste a year on a young player that is expected to be a meaningful contributor but needs a year to grow in both body and knowledge (or there too much depth in front that will be gone in the next year or two.)

In the current environment, now it seems to have added some more wrinkles than normal with the TP and the NIL. The UNLV QB wants more of the $$$ he thinks he deserves (although UNLV blowing out FSU without him probably didn't really help his leverage), the Bear William at $C (may be similar, etc.)

The conversation over the last week of RS and being informed over the weekend that Woods and Brown are taking a RS - and there may be others in this category (guys who are in their last year of eligibility but have rightfully been jumped by better players) - there seems to be more wrinkles. Neither of these guys are even close to making an NFL rosters or command any NIL at new destinations. At the same time, teams do need depth and back ups from upperclassmen. Is the speculation that they want to have one more year of getting to play FB at a lower level before they jump into the non-FB working world? I certainly can't think that they think they will get more PT next season (because hopefully, our younger LBs continue to grow and we recruit better.)

Who else do we foresee this with on the Buffs and what do we think/know are the motivations?
