WBB: Buffs beat tough Oregon State team in the tourney last night

Chips falling CU's way in this tourney. Avoided really tough and talented USC team due to Oregon State beating them the night before. USC beat CU at home by 17 a few weeks ago. Now, our next opponent, tough Washington State, beat maybe the best team in the tourney last night in Utah. Utah had just beaten Stanford and was co-Pac 12 champs. #3 in the country with the best player in the league and 2 of the sharpest shooting guards in the country. Washington State is a tourney bound, 21 win team, who has a superstar player who has a history of burning CU. They just don't have a ton of bodies in the middle to match up with us there. Guard Leger-Walker and beat WSU. Clearest path to the finals they've ever had in all honesty. Getting there could cement a top 4 spot and a home game. Anyway, as it stands, HUGE game tonight and hopefully we don't come out cold and play one of those face palm games. What a bunch of luck though. No Utah and no USC. Could not have scripted this any better.

NCAA considers rule changes for the '23 (all clock related)

1. I love this one

2. I do not understand why this rule needs to be changed

3. I am not a big fan of this one, if they do it I wish they make it the last 5 minutes. One of the things about college football over the NFL I love is you can come back easier because of the stoppage of the clock after 1st downs. You can use your TO's on defense more.

4. I again hope they only do that outside the last 5 minutes of the 3rd and 4th quarters.

How Jalen Gabbidon has balanced basketball and co-founding a tech startup

Jalen Gabbidon is going to be participating in Colorado's senior day today, so I figured now would be as good of a time as any to drop this piece. In addition to his basketball career, Gabbidon is a co-founder of a Denver-based tech startup called Launchpad, a free fitness app

I delved into Gabbidon's story, how he manages that balance, how he got to Colorado and what might be next for him

CARROLLTON, Ga. – Holding 24 offers with prototypical size for an offensive tackle (6-6, 305), teams will be fighting over 2024 prospect Barry Walker until he signs his National Letter of Intent. One of the programs in the hunt for the Georgia talent out of Crisp County High School is Colorado. The Buffaloes offered Walker on Jan. 24, and may host him this spring.

“I am trying to get up to Colorado,” Walker said. “It will be awesome to meet someone that had a big-time impact on the NFL (Deion Sanders).”
