So I have to say I felt we would be 3-2 at this point, so excited as heck that we already have 4 wins. I really hope the staff learned from last year and we close strong.
7 games left I thought I would see where everyone's head is at. I think bowl game is al but guaranteed at this point. Do we go3-4, 4-3 or wow even hope for 5-2.
I also did this so @dtownbuff stops muddying up my prediction thread making Monday a pain to figure out the winner.

Consolidation and Realignment

I won’t be as good as @rward at keeping up but I thought I’d start sharing stuff here. Many people express surprise over a lot that is happening and it’s all been laid out the last many years and written and talked about. I love the business side of this so follow it more but am guessing many don’t.

Here is one from ESPN further discussing what is coming in reduced roster sizes. It’s likely we arrive there by 2027 if you listen to others. That’s the outside most are giving the big changes coming in regards to how college sports are treated.

KSU - Defending the RPO/Running QB

I really have not paid attention to KSU since we left the Big12 and Snyder was creeping around the side-lines, but everyone seems to be saying this is a running QB (and overall a running team.)

UCF may have technically been the same, but their QB was 250 lbs and can get yards, but was really not a threat to take it to the house if we didn't get him at the LOS, where it sounds like the KSU QB could?

How does our D prepare/gameplan for this? Zone to keep discipline and not leave the middle open or allow the WRs/TEs to drag defenders away from the QB runs?

Love to hear thoughts because I think our D is playing great and stopping the run itself really well, but a QB that can really run does concern me with how much man we play and can get out of position if we get too aggressive.

Buffs add another guard for 2025

Colorado Prep guard Josiah Sanders has committed to the Buffs this morning. The 6-foot-4 prospect is the fourth addition for CU in the 2025 class.

Northwestern, Stanford, Tennessee and San Diego State made up the other four schools on his final list.

Sanders, who is an Aurora, native has been a longtime target for Tad Boyle, so this is another key and important recruiting victory for the Buffs.

This class is going to look different than others in recent history, but it sounds like CU has a lot of belief in the group it is putting together for 2025.

There’s a lot of playmakers in this group Boyle and staff are putting together.

MBB times and TV designations announced

Most of Colorado’s games will be available on ESPN+. All eight nonconference home contests will appear on the digital platform including the hardwood edition of the Rocky Mountain Showdown against Colorado State on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 6 p.m. Another 16 games in the Big 12 schedule – home and away – are slated for ESPN+.

Six games are scheduled across the linear networks of ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU including Colorado’s home game against Kansas on Feb. 24 at 9 p.m. MT, as part of ESPN’s Big Monday package. As previously announced, all three of the Buffaloes’ Maui Invitational games, Nov. 25-27, are on the ESPN Family of Networks, beginning with Michigan State on Nov. 25 at 3 p.m. on ESPN2.

Colorado’s lone game outside of the ESPN networks is its Big 12 opener where the Buffaloes will host Iowa State on Monday, Dec. 30, at 7 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.

Changes coming for NCAA transfer windows/signing rules

The NCAA DI Council is meeting this week, and there are some new rules and decisions being made that will impact programs around the country. Yesterday, the council approved the shortening of the transfer windows from 45 days to 30 for football and men's and women's basketball. Instead of a 30-day window in the winter and a 15-day window in the spring for football, there will now be a 20-day window in the winter (Dec. 9-28) and a 10-day window in the spring (April 15-25).

The 30-day basketball transfer window will run from the day after the end of the second round of the NCAA tournaments.

The 30-day window in those sports will remain should a head coach leave a school regardless of whether or not that falls within one of the predetermined transfer windows.

Additionally, today the council approved the transition away from National Letters of Intent for high school and junior college recruits. There will be a new process for schools to sign prospects beginning this winter. Financial aid agreements will take the place of the NLI though many of the rules that had been in place with the NLI program will remain as the transition is made to the new model.
