Downington, PA is certainly not a familiar recruiting ground for Brian Michalowski, whose roots are more in Arizona, California, the PNW and Georgia, but the same could not be said of Chris Wilson, whose credentials with the Eagles need no introduction.

Wilson and Michalowski recently offered Class of 2022 outside backer Dakendrick Daniels, a 6-foot-3, 200-pound OLB out of Bishop Shanahan School.

He is the son of Phillip Daniels, a former NFL defensive end who enjoyed a 15-year career with the Seahawks, Bears and Redskins from 1996-2010.

When Wilson was overseeing Philadelphia's defensive line from 2016-2018, Daniels was his assistant d-line coach, taking over DL coaching responsibilities in 2019 for the year, when Wilson departed for the Cardinals.

Couple things here: Yes, the younger Daniels' offer sheet is short, with Fordham and Valparaiso being his only offers. But Michalowski's involvement should offer some affirmation as to Daniels' potential.

Michalowski has earned the benefit of the doubt when it comes to offering guys early. I think his track record has shown that he has a good eye and more often than not, the kids he offers wind up building respectable offer sheets before all is said and done.

It's also interesting to see Wilson offer recruits within the vicinity of Philadelphia. He's had a couple such offers since arriving at CU but the Buffs have yet to land any defensive players from the East Coast or Philly.
