This one is a tough pill to swallow. Came in with some juice as the player of the year in Kansas and a forward. Was not in particularly good shape when she came in though. Was going to need a lot of S&C to be able to play here. Was expecting her to be a reserve forward though. CU now only returns 1 forward who played last year in Quay Miller, who is all conference material. CU's front court is officially depleted now though. Charlotte Whittaker returns from surgery, but that's just 2 forwards left from last year. Maura Singer, Tuitele, Hollingshed, and now Taylor gone. Singer of course was medically retired and Hollingshed off to the pros. We do bring in 2 freshman bigs, but wow does JR need to bring in some transfers in the worst way.
Maybe Stanford can donate a couple of former Colorado preps our way 🤷♀️. Both are luxuries and don't start. Stanford brought 2 stud freshmen forwards this past year and both played decent minutes this past year and will command more next year. Stanford brought in Lauren Betts who can slide right in at center and push Brink to PF. They will have 6 true post players and fact is, 2 won't play much. CU has 2 spots open. One can only wish.
