Yes, I am aware that Colorado's average star ranking is among the bottom of the league, but in terms of the entire 22-member Class of 2022's evaluations, the Buffaloes sit at third in the Pac-12, behind only Arizona and Stanford.
Karl Dorrell and his staff took some major heat throughout the recruiting process this cycle for bringing in a bad class. I personally disagree. Just like the '21 group, there's some guys that I think will play early.
CU is at No. 40 in the nation currently with its 2022 class. That's not too bad. Mel Tucker's storied 2020 class ranked 33rd, granted, with far more flare in all the four-stars who signed, none of whom remain with the team now.
And for what it's worth, Mel's class only had a star average of 2.92 compared to this average of 2.86. Puts things in perspective.
