As I mentioned previously, this week is the new one that has been added to allow midyear transfers to visit although it is a dead period for everyone else. So, high school prospects who don't plan on enrolling early and transfers who are not arriving for the spring semester have not been allowed on campus this week. However, transfer players (and recruits) who are going to be on campus this month at their new schools for the spring are allowed to take visits as normal (both official and unofficial). Schools across the country have been tight-lipped about who they're bringing out until they can secure those visits since there is a small window of just a handful of days during the otherwise dead period.
Here's a look at who CU's staff is bringing in this week as the staff continues to build on its work from earlier in the offseason.
• TE Cane Berrong (Notre Dame | 3 seasons of eligibility) | 3-star (5.5) Rivals Ranking; 286th-ranked transfer
• WR Tyrone Broden (Bowling Green | 2 seasons of eligibility)
• CB Isaiah Johnson (ASU | 3 seasons of eligibility) | 3-star (5.6) Rivals Ranking; 218th-ranked transfer
• OL Spencer Lovell (Cal | 2 seasons of eligibility)
• OL Yousef Mugharbil (Florida | 3 seasons of eligibility)
• S Myles Slusher (Arkansas | 2 seasons of eligibility) | 4-star (5.8) Rivals Ranking; 31st-ranked transfer [currently signed with Louisville]
• RB Kavosiey Smoke (Kentucky | 1 season of eligibility) | 3-star (5.7) Rivals Ranking | 136th-ranked transfer
• QB Willie Taggart Jr. (FAU | 2 seasons of eligibility)
• WR Isaac TeSlaa (Hillsdale College/DII | 2 seasons of eligibility)
A couple notes --
• Myles Slusher has already been announced as a signee with Louisville, but those grant-in-aid papers are not binding for the player, so until he begins classes he is still able to look at his other options and is not officially counted as a completed transfer yet. So, CU is making a very late move with him trying to get him to flip to the Buffs. He is the highest-rated member of the expected visitor group this weekend in Boulder as the 31st-ranked transfer player according to Rivals. He was also a four-star recruit coming out of high school.
• Some of the other visitors are coming off of previous visits including Kavosiey Smoke, who just visited Troy, Tyrone Broden, who just visited Oklahoma, and Isaac TeSlaa, who is coming off visits to Purdue and Arkansas leading into his trip to CU.
