Colorado suffered a maddening collapse against Utah last season and in 2019-2020, the Buffs lost in OT, falling further into a season-ending five-game losing streak, when McKinley Wright IV controversially picked up a foul on an attempted Utes three-pointer as overtime ended.

Needless to say, the Larry Krystkowiak-led Utes have given Colorado quite a few problems since he took over in SLC back in 2011. Coach K was fired this past March, but Tad Boyle had him attend some practices this week, scribble down notes and speak with players.

Jabari Walker in particular spent some time talking with Krystkowiak one-on-one.

Gotta think if he wants to continue coaching, there will be opportunities that come knocking at some point. Goes to show that there definitely are coaches in the Pac-12 that Boyle respects and admires; often times his disdain for Andy Enfield and Bobby Hurley as well as the clear cut cheaters within the league dominates the discourse about Boyle's relationship with other coaches, but he and Krystkowiak always seemed to possess mutual admiration for one another.

I bet players got some good insight and advice from him this week.
