I went up to the "spring game" yesterday but could only stay until 3:15 or so. I saw one actually play in a game type situation.
It seems that more and more schools are either doing away with any big production at the end of spring or if they do the games are becoming more and more like what CU did yesterday. In the past I have caught some "spring games" on espn, or PAC 12 or Big Ten networks as some were as I decribed above. I heard that either Bo at NU or maybe Riley talked about not having a spring game until Husker fans went into a near revolt, so they will had or if it was Riley that suggested it will have a spring game.
I would not be shocked that other than places line Nebraska or Alabama (my guess is they like bragging about the attendance at these games so want to make sure they happen) that the tradtional spring game are all but gone.
