Isiahia Banks has been the least talked about of the three 2017 prospects at Mullen, but he has also had an offer from CU for over a year. No other schools have stepped up with an offer yet, but Kansas State, Purdue, Iowa State, Washington, CSU and Hawaii have been showing steady interest in him. A few of those schools have hinted about the possibility of offering when they stop by during the spring evaluation period. Banks is a 6-foot-1, 205-pound safety right now that could potentially grow into a linebacker. He racked up 92 tackles and earned second-team all-state and first-team all-league honors as a junior. Banks has been up to CU multiple times, most recently for the Buffs' Junior Day event on Feb. 28. “They are really striving to bring greatness back to CU," he said. "They are trying everything to have the newest and greatest stuff so they can get talented players and get a lot better team. It definitely seems like they are on the come-up.” Banks talks to Mike MacIntyre, Darian Hagan and Corey Edsall (defensive grad assistant) on a regular basis. He hopes to decide this summer. Banks said it would be "ideal" if Marcus McElroy Jr., Christian Cumber and him can all end up going to the same college. "We talk about that all the time," he said. I'll have more in a front page write-up shortly.
