The 6-foot-2, 185-pound cornerback prospect from Jacksonville (Fla.) Sandalwood received his first offer from Colorado earlier today. He is a Class of 2017 that actually hasn't played a down of Varsity football yet... he played JV as a freshman then was set to play Varsity as a sophomore but he suffered a broken ankle in the preseason. Speed is fully recovered and he impressed Charles Clark when the Buffs' cornerbacks coach stopped by to watch him participate in Sandalwood's Spring Game. "He just told me he liked my size, my ability and he sees a bright future for me with my talent," said Speed. "I am just blessed and excited to have the offer from Colorado." Obviously Speed hopes to add more offers in the future. His dream school is Florida. I'll have a front page write-up with more on Speed and his interest level in the Buffs.
