2013:
Solis - 479 plays; 39 tackles (.08/play); 1 sack; 5 3rd down stops; 0 pressures
Tupou - 598 plays; 38 tackles (.06/play); .5 sack; 3 3rd down stops; 3 pressures

2014:
Solis - 355 plays; 33 tackles (.09/play); 1 sack; 3 3rd down stops; 2 pressures
Tupou - 642 plays; 42 tackles (.06/play); 3 sacks; 3 3rd down stops; 5 pressures; 1 fumble recovery

Solis seems to be pretty active when he gets in there. Not a pass rusher by any stretch because of his short steps (stumpy legs), but definitely can move linemen around the plug the holes. The stats tend to show that as he has a higher tackle per play ratio than Tupou and gets a lot of 3rd down stops (no doubt on short yardage plays).
We lose a lot with Tupou out, but if Solis steps up and becomes more of a full time player, we might be alright. Of course, this may require Justin to lose a good 15 pounds or so to become a full time 3 down player. He needs to increase his play count a large margin.
