CU Press Release:
BOULDER - University of Colorado forward Arielle Roberson will graduate with her class in May and has opted not to return for her senior season head women's basketball coach Linda Lappe announced on Tuesday.
Roberson, who is scheduled to complete her bachelor's degree in Communication, missed her redshirt junior year this past winter after tearing the ACL in her left knee during preseason individual workouts. It was her second full season lost to injury in four years; she also missed her true freshman year (2010-11) with a torn labrum in her left hip.
"We are proud that Arielle will have her degree from Colorado and wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors," Lappe said.
A two-time honorable mention All-Pac-12 Conference selection, Roberson averaged 12.0 points and 7.3 rebounds in 64 career games for the Buffaloes. She led Colorado in scoring (12.0 ppg) and rebounding (8.3 rpg) as a sophomore in 2013-14 while ranking second in blocked shots (1.0 bpg) and third in field-goal percentage (.458).
The 2013 Pac-12 Freshman of the Year, Roberson is 10th in career rebounding average at Colorado. She is 14th in career double-doubles (10) and double-figure rebounding games (14) and is 19th in all-time blocked shots (57).
