I personally feel like defensive line is among the deepest position groups the Buffs have heading into the 2022 season. Quite frankly, in terms of experienced bodies, it may feature the most robust depth on the entire team. With the general rotation looking good, Karl Dorrell and Co. are trying to ensure that the role players on DL are developing this spring.

Namely, redshirt freshmen Tyas Martin, Allan Baugh and Ryan Williams. Martin, per Dorrell, is not at 100% health this spring and so he's been limited. Baugh was mentioned briefly as being in the mix with reps but Williams most definitely was talked about the most.

Coaches and fellow players had raved about him dating back to last year, so it's encouraging to hear his name. I caught up with him after practice yesterday and he sounds pretty confident. He's finding mentors in some of CU's older DLs and has been working efficiently with Gerald Chatman.

Would be a big deal if Williams can develop into a trustable asset to eat snaps this fall, keeping the likes of Jalen Sami, Janaz Jordan and Na'im Rodman as fresh as possible.
