Saw and interesting quote from Klatt at the recruiting luncheon:

"Recruiting is the life blood for any program," he said. "What I evaluate classes on is not rankings or stars; it's who you are competing against to get these commitments. Now, we're competing with the big boys. We're at that table. For some of these commitments, that's a big deal, and I think it's going to pay dividends down the line."

Someone had posted in another thread the P5 offers of each of our classes the last several years. In that list there was a clear uptick from year to year, with a big jump this year, on how many P5 offers Buff commits had. And as Klatt said, when programs are coming hard after our guys that is a great sign that we are getting legit prospects into the program. Agree with those that are looking for even more, but especially with these big classes, landing 10-15-20 guys that other P5 programs are hungry for is perfect for maintaining the foundation. Consistently strong foundation + some stars + some good fortune = winning big.
