Based on what I've been hearing from Colorado sources, Los Angeles (Calif.) Cathedral outside linebacker Halid Djibril is a guy that the Buffs' staff is intrigued with. They offered him just a couple of weeks ago.
The Buffs are one of 11 schools that have offered him so far.
"I got in contact with coach Hagan," Djibril said. "We had a conversation and he offered me. I was really excited when I got that offer. I heard it's a good environment there and the football team has been doing amazing. I want to go out and experience it."
Djibril and Hagan have been in contact for a while - well before he received the offer. They have been able to build a coach-recruit relationship.
"We have a good relationship. We talk about everything really - football, life, and he gives me advice," Djibril said.
Djibril is an athletic outside linebacker with great cover skill and stands at 6-foot-1, 181-pounds.
"Colleges usually say that they like the way I move around the field," he said. "I'm everywhere on every tackle. I'm explosive and I can blitz really well. I have a high motor."
He holds other Power Five conference offers from Illinois, Oregon State, and Washington State.
Washington, Arizona, and Utah are also showing him interest. Djibril noted that he grew up an Oregon fan, but they have not been in contact with him yet.
