Austin,
1) Travis Hunter has seriously built himself into a chiseled mass of muscle. Playing him as a slot defender will maximize Hunter's ability to make quick decisions during a play and become a disruptive influence on the opponent's offensive game. I hope he holds up physically. Is his desire larger than his physical limitations? That is the only question here.

2) Despite all the BS responses - made by coach Prime - during the Buffs collapse last season - he has made a very serious attempt to shape this team to fix last year's problems. His response to the problems from last season were not lazy - or superficial, but rather pretty deeply thought out and far reachin6 g. He has tried to fix things he scoffed at last year when critics chirped (like team chemistry). I'm impressed with the scope and depth of the changes and the chances for success.

3) Out of the top 6 olinemen from last season - only Van Wells would likely have made the two deep in this collection of Olinemen. I think Kalid Benson is probably a better than average RT - but he is worth his weight in gold as a leader with his Alpha attitude - strength and focus. Prime has an old group psychology trick going with the Oline - as they all know their why for being at CU is to protect the QB.

4) I have a theory that Dylan Edwards booked it once he realized how much La Johnta Wester was going to be used in the passing game. Dylan had worked on his speed, endurance and strength - to get more touches, but La Johnta comes in with a prime role - and even though La Johnta Wester is a slot/wr his touches reduce Dylan's touches - and his short receiving game touches - means Edwards won't get to develop his short receiving game. Anyway - La Johnta was brought in personally by Shedeur - he will get a lot of touches and yac yardage.

5) Because Prime uses the greased pig contest way of recruiting - he learned last year - he can't use good college coaches because they are used to recruiting talent to play in their scheme. Because of how the Buffs acquire talent - they have to find coaches who can put the guys together and make multiple use of their talents. Livingston is looking at a lineup on the Dline - that can play a 4/3 - or a 3/4 - or a 2- 5. In theory - he could play multiple fronts - depending on the strengths of the competition. In theory is will work with the talent he has. In reality - if Livingston can shape shift his defense based on the opponent (which is exactly what he talked about doing when he arrived) - how does he manage the personnel and changes from game to game and play to play? One thing that has already emerged - is simplization of defensive plays - to play faster. Expect a shape shifting defense - playing man to man - blitzing with safeties - and LBs - and basic smash mouth football at the LOS.

6) Look at the defensive three deep on the defense front 7 - and you will see one guy who is fast - one who is strong and one guy who is in-between.

7) Omarion Miller is a beast. He also has a very interesting personal history -and is a very serious thinking young man.

8) I'm glad to see Mark Vassett (P) get his time in the limelight with Prime at the B12 media meetings. Vassett punted to the one-yard line - too many times for it to be a coincidence. He is a huge weapon - despite the fact that last year's Buffs allowed teams to take 99 yard drives into the endzone for game winning TDs.

9) IMO - the key to success for the Buffs this season will be based on their ability to run the football and their commitment to running the football. Running the football sets the rest of the team up for success - especially the passing game.

10) Jordan Seaton is for real - he has already transformed his body from his lumpy commitment date state to a Bonafide Tarzan. Still - he will need TE help in obvious passing situations his freshman year.
