Like I said in my very brief post-press conference post yesterday, following getting to meet CU's new assistants, it was receivers coach Phil McGeoghan who left the biggest impression on me. That dude is just full of confidence. And not blow-hard confidence. I think he has earned the right to be confident due to his track record and the guys he's developed.

I say all of this only having spoken with him for 20 or so minutes, but, as far as making a good first impression is concerned, he did just that yesterday.

Had a lot of encouraging things to say about recruiting, as well as how he plans to coach up CU's current receivers.

Notable: "We’re not going to back down to anybody in recruiting at the receiver position — I can tell you that right now. If you’re a top-talented wide receiver and you’re a 2023, I’m going to be on you to come here. That’s just the reality of what it is. I feel very confident in my ability to develop wide receivers."
