.) Take over for previous coach and tell us how great you are and how your staff is the best... so much better than the other guy's staff.

.) Tell us how poor the S&C program was previously and how your new guy is so much better. Give us some phony strength numbers to prove it.

.) Start losing and immediately tell us how the previous staff 'burnt the place to the ground'. Tell us how they left it in shambles and how recruiting was porous.

.) Start winning some meaningless games and tell us how much progress we've made and how you're improved recruiting did it.

.) Finally win an important game or two with previous guy's recruits and tell us how it was your great coaching that did it.

.) Start losing again with your own recruits and tell us about all the injuries we've compiled. Each time it breaks a new injury record for lost games from starters.

.) Stop talking openly with the media and the firestorm comes with every passing failure.

.) Fire current coach. Fired coach tells us how he lacked support, funding, how we were way behind the peer teams in those areas, how terrible the fans are, and how he had to jump through so many hoops to get anything done.

.) Hire new coach with a bunch of overblown fanfare. Repeat step 1. Circa 1999.
