Happy Thanksgiving, dear friends!
Here's an update on my cancer support fundraiser with a sprinkle of humor: Gobble, gobble! It's that time of year when we're all grateful, and I have a lot to be thankful for! Thanks to your incredible generosity, I've been given the gift of time - more moments to savor life's little joys and fewer moments spent worrying about medical bills. You've truly stuffed my heart with gratitude!
Medical Update: Yellow Alert and Platelet Predicament
Dr. P has put me on "yellow alert watch and wait” status for my previously enlarged lymph node. Any changes, and we're off to Biopsy Town! It's like a game of "Red Light, Green Light," but with more needles and less fun. My platelets have decided to go on vacation, leaving my blood thinner than a supermodel's diet plan. This low platelet count means I'm bruising easier than a peach and feeling more tired than a turkey after Thanksgiving dinner. But fear not! We're keeping an eye on it, and I'm still strutting my stuff (albeit with a few more naps in between).
Carpe Diem: Seizing the Day
My motto remains "Carpe Diem" - Seize the Day! Though sometimes it feels more like "Carpe Diem... after a quick nap." I'm continuing to put my faith in Dr. P and in all of you wonderful prayer warriors out there.
A Slice of Humble Pie
As a reminder, my primary source of income is my Social Security benefits, which, let's face it, isn't exactly paying for caviar and champagne. Your donations have been a lifesaver, helping me meet those minimum payments on my medical bills. Without you, I'd be trying to barter with my doctors using leftover turkey sandwiches! (Please click https://gofund.me/68a0ffa4 button to help).
Thank you all for your continued support, love, and prayers. You're the gravy to my mashed potatoes, the stuffing to my turkey, the... well, you get the idea. Happy Thanksgiving, and much love to you ALL!
Blessings to you and your family.
GO Buffs!
