3rd 20 loss season in a row! Man, remember when those guys beat us like a drum in that exhibition game? I knew we were in for a tough season but did realize that Nebraska basketball was on the rise. They had just signed a top 15 class (similar to ours) and had two 5* players on their roster, plus some high value transfers like Alonzo Verge from ASU. About as talented a roster as they've had at NU in forever with at least 1 potential lottery pick and another potential NBA player. Former ISU and Chicago Bulls head coach Fred Hoiberg manning things. Blue chip recruits falling over themselves to commit to them. Somehow, they have just had their 3rd worst season in a row. Never before had they lost 20 games and Hoiberg has done it 3 times in a row.

CU, on the other hand, quite likely might win 20 games. Would not have guessed these results after that awful exhibition/charity game earlier in the season. You have to wonder about these Husker fans though. Their basketball attendance is amazing. They put like 13k in the stands every game. Just like football, they pack it in. Every major sport though is on the serious decline there. Sure recruiting looks good 'on paper' but they are struggling where it counts. How long will those fans put up with it? A bunch of home bread Nebraskans running the show from top to bottom. Very little outside the box think tank. Just throw more money at it attitude and it just isn't working. 20 losses is horrendous! Even those horrid CU seasons of the 80s and 90s weren't that bad.

Sometimes, within all the negativity, it's good to be thankful. We aren't Nebraska!
