Subject: Springtime, Pollyanna Outlooks, and the Never-Ending Norovirus Saga!

Hello dear friends and supporters,I hope this message finds you safe and sound, especially considering the crazy weather and natural disasters many of you have been facing. From fires and floods to mudslides and snowstorms, it seems like Mother Nature has been throwing quite the curveballs lately. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

In the grand scheme of things, my own little dramas seem pretty insignificant. I am, as always, incredibly grateful for your love, support, and unwavering kindness. With spring just around the corner (fingers crossed!), I'm trying my best to embrace that Pollyanna outlook – it can't hurt, right?

Speaking of renewal, let's just say my GI tract has been experiencing a different kind of "renewal" courtesy of a lingering Norovirus. Yes, folks, it's been eight glorious weeks since I was chosen as the lucky recipient of this unwelcome guest. As you may know, it has a certain affinity for the bowels. These days, when I enter a room, my eyes immediately dart around for the nearest restroom – a thrilling new hobby, let me tell you!And while the bright red color of my hemorrhoid bleeding is somewhat "reassuring," it’s still a royal pain (literally!). After a Zoom pow-wow with my PCP, and with minimal improvement, it looks like I'm headed for an in-person appointment… ugh. You know what that means, so I won’t bore you with the gory details. Let's just say, I'm a relatively private person, and there's absolutely nothing private about THAT!

On a brighter note (yes, there are brighter notes!), I haven't taken any falls. My transient shortness of breath continues, but it's no worse than before. Plus, thanks to my recent cataract surgery, I'm seeing "clearly now," and that part of me feels like a kid again! WAHOO! My Keytruda infusions continue as scheduled, and I am so blessed to have two amazing friends who share the driving duties to Winston-Salem (WFBH) every three weeks.

And, of course, I'm eagerly anticipating the Buffs' new season with new players and new coaches. I'm crossing my fingers that the stars align, and I can make it to Colorado for a game this fall. Wouldn't that be amazing? I continue to love keeping you all up to date with the daily Buffs NewsStand.

With all my heart, thank you for being in my corner. Your support and prayers mean the world to me, and if you would like to send a few dollars my way to help me keep up with my medical co-pays, click here https://gofund.me/e4e140cc. Together, we'll keep the faith and keep pushing forward.

Here's to greater health, joy, and peace for all of us!Love and Blessings to you all,Craig Brown (NCBuff)
