Hopefully Lynott comes back healthy next fall. If so, we return:
Lynott - C/G
Haigler - G/T
Kaiser - T
Miller - T
Tonz - G
and players who were either special teams or not in the rotation
Vaughn - G/T
Middlemiss - G/T
CU will have these new faces for the spring whom are eligible for the fall to play (not a redshirt)
Shutack - G
Pursell - C/G
Lytle - T
Sherman - C/G
Moretti - G/T
Polley - G/T
Paige - G/T
and 1 grayshirt who likely won't play next year
Roddick
CU will have no less than 14 scholarship players eligible to play next year for the spring plus several walk ons. This is a large group of players. In fact, one of the largest groups we've had there in some time. Competition should be fierce and some good players should be found amongst these guys.
As much as we complain at times, the live fire Kaiser, Tonz, Miller and Haigler faced all year will be beneficial to their development as upper classmen next year. Shutack, Pursell, and Lytle are older guys who should be more developed. We have 4 true freshmen who have talent. Enough talent to push some of these older guys for starting spots. Sherman looks physically ready to play. Moretti and Polley have the talent to play but are they physically ready? They better be by fall.
Even though we're losing 3 established starters on the OL, can competition make the unit better next year?
