A look at the seven prospects in Boulder on an official visit this weekend. The group includes three prospects that have already pledged to the Buffs, and two recruits that are currently verbally committed to another program.

Hawkins has received offers from more than 10 programs throughout the course of his recruitment, but his trip to Colorado this weekend is his first known official visit. Arizona State, Washington, Washington State and San Diego State were the other four programs in the top five he announced back in August. Hawkins has said in the past he wants to wait until signing day to make his announcement. A two-way standout at the prep level, Hawkins accounted for 1,222 all-purpose yards, 18 touchdowns, 46 tackles and five interceptions while helping Palm Springs to 11 wins and a Desert Valley League championship this fall. He considers his ability as a deep threat on offense and his ability to press receivers on defense to be his best attributes as a player. The Buffs have been recruiting Hawkins as a defensive back and a potential return man. He has said he would prefer to play on the defensive side of the ball in college. Currently ranked as the 82nd best overall prospect in California this cycle, Hawkins ran the 100-meter dash in 11.03-seconds last spring during track.

Domann has been verbally committed to Nebraska since late June but he has continued to be receptive to the Buffaloes' interest and agreed to come up to Boulder for an official visit. He has some close friends at Nebraska in Eric Lee Jr. and Avery Anderson but the thought of staying in-state for college is something that has Domann giving Colorado a long look. The 2015 Colorado Gatorade Player of the Year and Six Zero Strength Colorado Co-Player of the Year, Domann starred on both sides of the ball and helped Pine Creek to the 4A state semifinals before he was sidelined with a shoulder injury. He previously helped lead the Eagles to back-to-back state championships in 2013 and 2014. In three years as a letterman at Pine Creek, Domann accounted for a total of 2,243 all-purpose yards, 36 touchdowns, 145 tackles and 14 interceptions. Being undersized as a linebacker prospect is the only thing that kept Domann from being a four-star recruit. 14 FBS programs offered him before he started narrowing down his list in the summer.

Neves verbally committed to Utah as a pro-style quarterback recruit in October of 2014 but the Utes took commitments from two other quarterback prospects from the Class of 2016, Tyler Huntley and Troy Williams, before telling him they were going to re-classify him as a defensive end. This frustrated Neves, who has kept in contact with the Buffaloes' staff since he camped with Colorado a year-and-a-half ago. “Man. Dishonesty really is something I understand now,” Neves recently tweeted. The Buffs were up-front that they wanted him as an outside linebacker all along. Colorado defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Jim Leavitt stopped by Neves' home earlier this week, in advance of his official visit.

Ento is a mid-year Junior College prospect that recently caught the attention of the Buffaloes' staff. He excelled as a large possession receiver at East Central C.C. and even got behind the defense on occasion, hauling in seven touchdown passes as a sophomore. He has not received an offer from Colorado yet. So far, he has received offers from Toledo, Jacksonville State, UT-Martin, Northwestern State, Southeast Missouri State and Delta State.

Currently one of the Buffs' top four rated commitments this cycle, Blackmon chose Colorado over offers from 16 other programs. His listed height of 5-foot-10 might be a bit generous but there was no questioning Blackmon's playmaking ability at the prep level. The Buffs have told Blackmon he will be in the mix to return punts and kicks as a true freshman, and he will also compete for a spot at cornerback. He had seven interceptions and more than 1,000 all-purpose yards during his senior season while helping Westlake to 10 wins.

After weighing in at 265-pounds during the spring evaluation period, Lytle packed on nearly 30 more pounds by the end of June. He was not into self-promotion during his recruitment, and has yet to put together a highlight reel, but Colorado got to see him in person at two of their camps in June. Texas also showed interest in Lytle in the summer but the Longhorns never did extend an offer. He committed to the Buffs in October. Lytle prides himself on his agility, speed and footwork for his size.

Senior Highlights

The most recent prospect to join the Buffaloes' commitment list, Vaughn was a late-bloomer that will grayshirt in 2016 before enrolling at Colorado the following spring. He will still be 17-years old when he graduates from high school. Vaughn stood 6-foot-6, 220-pounds as a junior before he started to gain substantial weight. He earned All-Colorado honors as a senior. Working with former Colorado lineman Matt McChesney, Vaughn will log long hours at Six Zero Strength over the course of the next year before joining the Buffs.
