: The University of Colorado completes its trip to Oregon with a Pac-12 Conference contest against Oregon State University on Saturday, Feb. 6, at 6:30 p.m. MST at Gill Coliseum in Corvallis.

ABOUT THE BEAVERS: Oregon State is 13-8 overall and 4-6 in the Pac-12 after a thrilling 71-69 win over Utah on Feb. 4. Stephen Thompson Jr. sank three free throws with just 0.1 seconds remaining for the win. The Beavers average 71.9 points per game on 44.1 percent shooting. Oregon State boasts the fourth best scoring defense in the Pac-12 allowing only 69.2 points per game. The Beavers are third in the Pac-12 in steals (7.2 spg) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.2).

Senior guard Gary Payton II leads Oregon State in nearly every major statistical category, averaging 16.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.2 steals per game. He ranks in the Top 10 in the Pac-12 in all four of those categories and paces all league players in steals. Freshman forward Tres Tinkle is Oregon State’s second-leading scorer at 12.0 points while grabbing 5.2 rebounds per contest. Drew Eubanks, another first-year front court player, averages 7.7 points on 57.3 percent from the field which ranks fifth in the Pac-12. Thompson, Jr., averages 10.0 points and is Oregon State’s top 3-point shooter with 30 on the season.

Wayne Tinkle is in his second year as the head coach at Oregon State with a record of 30-22. He is in his 10th season as a collegiate head coach with a record of 188-113.

THE SERIES: This will be the 18th meeting between Colorado and Oregon State with the Buffaloes holding an 12-5 series lead. Colorado has won 6-of-9 since joining the Pac-12 for the 2011-12 season. The Buffaloes have won the last two, including a 71-54 decision in Boulder on Jan. 13. Oregon State has a 4-2 series edge in Corvallis.

Tad Boyle is 7-5 against Oregon State as a head coach. Wayne Tinkle is 1-2 against the Buffaloes as a head coach.
