In defense of HCKD
-Our team is brutally young and thin. THis is not a problem created by HCKD but he better fix it quickly with some quality transfers
-He walked into a total mess with 5 HCs since 2010 when Hawk got booted, 7 since McCartney left. Its remarkable we have the talent we do given all the turnover.
-Despite all the recruiting criticism his current class is ranked 37. If he can figure out how to win his last game, considering the schedule a 5-7 record in his first full season would be a good outcome.
-He wants to be in Boulder and is a low flight risk IMO.

Concerning about HCKD
-Some really questionable coaching hires. How in the world can an OLINE coach that was apparently as bad as the one we had 1) get hired and 2) last as long as he did. It is, well, inexcusable. Finding good football coaches for what we are willing to pay should not be hard. There are a lot of talented and hungry football coaches out there.
-Other serious concerns exist in the OC coaching office for sure. I am fine if HCKD wants to be a hands off coach but he better have a great eye for coaching talent and that should be seriously questioned
-Drilling into the offense a little more the play there for the first half the season was a disgrace to CU Football. I doubt QBTJS could have made any difference there as he would have been flat on his back during just about any passing play.
-The lack of creativity or confidence in play calling is mind boggling. Why in the world every team CU plays, understands the big play capability of RPO and or designed QB draws and Boots but we cant figure it out with QBBL, is a real mystery. 1st and goal from the 3 and short 3rd or 4th and 1s, have yielded more deep handoffs for a TFL than we can count.
-HCKD does not appear to be a motivator. HCBM, HCGB and HCMT knew how to motivate players. Not sure if we need a HC to be a big motivational guy but it would be nice to see a little more fire from the guy with his team during games and less with TV Cameramen after the game. Its not apparent to me how much this team cares that the play has been an embarrassment for much of the season and that is a reflection of how much the HC cares.

Next Steps
-Lets not have a season ending embarrassing loss
-CLose the recruiting class strong
-Get Turley to get our young team to look like men before next August. Especially the OL and DL. We need to once again be dominant on the LOS. This is a MUST
-FInd a new OL coach and a new OC. Our interim OL guy may be the dude, OCDC needs to find a fresh start somewhere else for his good and ours. He may be better than he has shown but this year our offense is an unmitigated disaster and he wears that. TIme to move on.
-Find some quality in the transfer portal. If Utah can do it so can we. Need a capable backup QB, and help at OL, LB and DL. There have to be some disillusioned 5* players at Alabama and Ohio St that would like a chance to play.
-Get to know the fans. Get out and about and get fans excited about the product after recruiting wraps up. Bill McCartney made it past a couple really bad years by doing just that and it would help folks get more comfortable that he's the guy for the job.
