I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and are as excited as I am for 2025. Given the dynamic nature of collegiate athletics, we are going to see some changes in the upcoming year that will impact operations at CU Athletics and every Athletic Department across the country. With that in mind, in preparation for the House Settlement, which will likely be finalized this summer, we are restructuring our NIL procedures in order to be prepared for the changes to come. This proactive move not only sets CU Athletics up for success when the House Settlement goes into effect, maintaining CU’s position as a national leader, it provides a level of efficiency by ensuring that those who want to support CU student-athletes and programs can give to one convenient place.
For those looking to support Colorado student-athlete initiatives or have previously given to a collective, this means two things:
Financially investing in the holistic CU student-athlete experience through donations to the Buff Club’s AD Excellence Fund or Sport Excellence Fund, which makes giving to third-party collectives like the 5430 Alliance unnecessary.
Working with student-athletes directly to enhance your business’s brand through CU’s NIL Exchange.
I feel these changes will not only keep CU the gold standard in student-athlete support but also make it easier for fans like you to invest in our student-athletes at a time when it is most crucial.
Thank you, as always, for your incredible support!
