Louisiana Defensive Tackle is Shocked by Colorado Offer
Baton Rouge (La.) Southern Lab defensive tackle Shannon Forman came into Wednesday with offers from Arkansas State, Jackson State, Troy, Tulane, and a few other small colleges.
The 6-foot-2, 254-pounder landed an offer from Colorado, and he told CUSportsNation.com that the offer wasn't something he was expecting.
"It was very shocking to me when I got it," Forman said.
Colorado got in touch with the Southern Lab H.S. Athletic Director, who told Forman to get in touch with Colorado safeties coach Joe Tumpkin.
"He basically told me that they were highly interested in me and want me to come on a visit," said Forman.
Forman hasn't set up the official visit with Colorado just yet, but it seems like it's just a matter of time before it happens.
In the meantime, Forman is just pumped to get the offer from CU.
"I mean I'm loving it right now, because I always heard how good they were. I'm blessed and humbled about it."
The Buffs are coming in at the right time for Forman as he is unsettled on what school he wants to attend, and they give him a new option - his first Power Five Conference offer.
