New Colorado cornerback commit George was a full qualifier out of high school, so he can leave his JuCo right away. He will sign with Colorado on National Signing Day and enroll in the summer.
"I love the school, the team, the great atmosphere, and the coaches," George said. "I want to play for coach Mac; I feel like his system is perfect for me."
George, who is originally from Louisiana, is a new name that the staff started targeting. He was offered earlier today and committed just six hours after landing the offer. George is arrived in Boulder on Friday for his official visit and will fly back to Georgia on Sunday.
How did the CU staff react when George told them of his plans to commit?
"They were very excited. They can't wait to get me up here," said George.
George connected right away with new CU defensive coordinator DJ Eliot, who is on the recruiting scene right away for the Buffs during the big official visit weekend.
"He's a great guy. He seems like a really good coach," George said. "I'm very excited about the upcoming season."
