Tad Boyle has received his second pledge for the 2022 class in La Verne, Calif. guard RJ Smith, who visited CU officially earlier in September. Pepperdine, Portland, New Mexico and San Diego were other programs pursuing him pretty hard. 6-foot-4, 180-pound prospect who plays for the Damien High School Spartans in La Verne, Calif.
Smith seems to have slipped under the radar as far as Rivals is concerned; I don't believe he has a profile with us. Will remedy that shortly.

I will say this much, I do trust the basketball staff's ability to properly scout out under-the-radar guys. If they have liked what they're seeing from him, I think it's worth celebrating.
