2012 was a great class and we're still living off of it since Wesley and XJ are still around and just about all we have in the front court along with Miller. 2013 gave us 3 top 150 players whom are no longer around. 2014 was a small class where we struggled to recruit that difference maker in the post we were so desperate to recruit. We did get Collier but his development has been slowed by the need to redshirt and injuries. 2015 was another bust when we completely failed to recruit the difference maker in the post we desperately had to get and could only muster Akyazili as a guard. 2016 was another failed attempt to recruit another dominant post player as they went everywhere but CU and the only post we got is redshirting. Our other post is clearly not a post player and can do almost nothing in the post nor has the release to get his shot off quickly enough. The guards are developing youngsters who aren't ready to take on the Pac 12. It seems like all the misses have finally caught up with us.

While we've snagged several transfers to fill the holes, things just haven't seemed to click with all of them. It seems our next class will remedy the situation... somewhat. Tad still needs to add a defensive minded big (hopefully JUCO) and maybe a ball handler too. The 3 frosh and Namon though seem like they will be very good for us and a big step up in talent. I'm hopeful for the future and still bullish on CU basketball, but we're going to have to suffer through this season. For now, I'll hope that 4 5th year seniors can get us to the NIT with much stronger play at home. The Pac 12 recruited strong while we spun our wheels until this past class. That difference may show up hard in the box scores this season without significant improvement from our players.
