it's something we haven't been good at in a while. Including JL and everyone else coming through here.
This year mystifies me though. We literally have no DLine and could offer 3-4 guys instant playing time (that's bad for us as it's a position you don't want a bunch of underdeveloped freshmen playing at. It takes time to learn it well). And we still are struggling with it.
I hope we make a good hire for the new position and that there are some changes made on the current staff if they truly can't recruit.
With our lack of depth and talent it just blows me away we cant lure guys in. Until this changes it's going to be tough sledding for or defense.
JL is a good coach but he also caught lightening in a bottle with the seniors last year and was smart enough to know this years d line was gonna look like his whether he was here or not. Smart move on his part.
