Recent Cal decommit Ashton Sanders provides an update on where things stand with his recruitment heading into the fall.

Los Angeles-Cathedral defensive lineman Ashton Sanders recently decided to back away from his commitment to Cal, and now he is reassessing his recruitment overall. It has allowed schools to reconnect with him, and Colorado is among the group of schools that has continued to make contact with the three-star defensive lineman. The Armond Hawkins connection is key in this one, and it will be interesting to see if the Buffaloes can make up some ground as Sanders has truly started his recruitment over. Wisconsin was his other finalist when he made his original decision and remains part of his recruitment while he says schools such as USC, Baylor, Washington, Washington State and Arizona have also been in contact. He's working on official visits to the Washington schools as he has three more official visits he can take before the end of the process.
