The Labor Day weekend has been basically CFBs domain they had to themselves playing games from Thursday thru Monday. The NFL because of the 1961 Sports Broadcasting Act, can not televise a Friday or Saturday game locally if a High School or College game if being played I think within 75 miles starting the Second Week of Sept to second week of Dec. That means if the NFL wanted to they could play Thursday then Monday on Labor Day weekend.
