I have been thinking about the last 15 years of Buff football a lot during this Global virus shutdown. The 13 or 14 months we had with Midnight Mel as HC did one thing incredibly well.
Midnight made it cool to be a football player at CU. He consistently generated buzz that both the team and recruits could relate to. Tough, relentless, violent, ...teams are going to feel it after playing CU, commitment, best conditioned, family, play at the highest level, compete for championships, etc. Midnight never missed an opportunity to tell the world where CU football was heading.
The guy was full of Sh&t, but he painted a picture of CU football that was " bad ass ".
I am anxious to see if HCKD can do the same in his own way. Thus far, my feeling is that HCKD is a little to academic in his presentation.
Thoughts ?
