If any CU Football team in the past DECADE deserved the support of its fans, it is this one! The excitement I hear everywhere in Colorado - at the car wash, grocery store, office, rec center and local pub - is palpable. If you wear a Buff cap or t-shirt, people stop and talk. "Go Buffs" is everywhere.
Now its on us! A Thursday night game on National TV is both a plus and a minus. It will certainly fire up our students who have declared a "blackout" for the game. The publicity leading up to the game should focus the National college football attention on Boulder Colorado and we should have that space pretty much to ourselves. Weekend distractions will be nonexistent.
However, it may be tough for fans who travel some distance to get to the game and families with young kids who have school the next day to make this game a family priority.
But those of us who can, should make every effort to do so. Talk up the game this week. Challenge your non-season ticket holding friends to buy tickets and get to Folsom. If you have tickets but can't attend, sell them or give them away! I don't know when the last sold out Folsom happened, (Maybe Georgia with Hawkins) but it will be a damn shame if the next one is not on November 3rd when UCLA comes to town! Fill Folsom!
